Limestone rock contains crystalline Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) in different quantities depending upon its type. There are often significant impurities to be found in limestone, including sands, clays and other sediments, many of which include silica. The very high purity limestone deposits are more commonly used in building materials and industrial or chemical applications, rather than as a soil liming agent, Hence reduction in its quantity from lime is necessary to increase the product’s sustainability.
For this purpose good fluxing limestone should be lower than 1.50% in Silicon Dioxide content, which remains at its maximum of 1.00% in our product.
